The rules for the Triathlon are simple and there are NO HANDICAPS. The winning team of each event gets as many points as number of teams. For instance, with 40 teams, the winning team in golf (with lowest scratch score) receives 40 points. Second place receives 39 points; third place receives 38 points and so on. The same goes for basketball and bowling. In the case of a tie, you divide the points equally. If two teams tie for 2nd place, 39 and 38 points are added together and divided by two. Both teams receive 38.5 points. This applies to all events, or even a three or four way tie. The team with the highest total points is the winner.
